Canada Mushroom Growers Association Gets Government Investment

Canada shrooms are a vital crop for many of Canada’s farmers and play an important role in our economy. Mushrooms are grown in many different regions of the country, with Ontario and British Columbia accounting for the majority of Canada’s mushroom production. The Government of Canada supports the industry’s growth by providing funding under the AgriMarketing Program, part of the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.

This investment will help the Canadian Mushroom Growers Association / Mushrooms Canada expand their markets abroad, and to explore new opportunities to make their products more attractive to consumers and retailers. The AgriMarketing Program is delivered by the federal government through the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food.
